A new initiative on the part of the St. Kevin’s College Soccer Association in 2008 is that of the role of the Parent Representative. We are looking keen and interested parents to act as a liaison between the school and the parent body. The development of a strong and close culture is essential if we are going to continue to move Soccer forward at St. Kevin’s College. The reality is that without a strong and supportive parent body, SKC Soccer would really struggle. As TIC of Soccer at St. Kevin’s Soccer I would like to recognise and thank the efforts of all parents within the SKC Soccer family.
The role would entail:
- Assist with the collection and dissemination of contact details to assist with communication.
- Encourage attendance at social events, such as strip presentation, BBQ’s and Presentation Evening.
- Encourage attendance at Clinics for boys in their son’s team.
- Coordinate collation of photos and enter photos into the SKC Soccer Photo Competition.
- Coordinate assistance if boy/s are having difficulty getting to matches or practice sessions.
- Assist with the collection and distribution of team gear such as goalkeeper’s equipment.
- Promote SKC Soccer clothing.
- Assist with First Aid at matches. If comfortable doing so.
- Assist at match BBQ’s and Presentation Evening.
- Act as a liaison between the team and the SKC Soccer Association, with a view to possibly joining the Association.
If any parent is interested in acting as a Parental Team Representative, please either contact your son’s team coach directly or TIC via email or telephone.
